F828 Snaps VI: The 560nm and Raynox

Bought a 560nm filter and a long out of print Raynox wide angle adapter specifically built for the F828. It's huge! You need to hold the lens with this thing attached. It droops all the way down otherwise. Something I discovered with it, when you zoom in all the way, it creates this beautiful bokeh look. I think your plane/area of sharpness shrinks to like .0000005mm in the dead center doing this. I'm exaggerating, but so far, I could not nail critical focus doing this, AF doesn't do a good job when zoomed which I think is just a general issue based on previous experiences, and manual focus with this lens is a down right joke to try. Still, it has wonderful possibilities as a portrait shot.

Happy Holidays everyone.

Great shots (and composition). Wish I knew about this camera back in 2004 when it came out.

You can snag one for around $150 now. $1200 back in the day. Much better deal now. :)
