Akira
It was pleasant here in Tokyo, and I decided to take a walk with the intention to shoot only in IR. So, I took my trusty SIGMA fp and Nikor-H 28mm f3.5 lens with Zomei IR850 filter on it. Here are some results. All images were shot at ISO 1250, and the exposure times were somewhere between around 2-10 sec. Link to comment

Nate
Shots look great, just curious, why so long exposure times? Link to comment

Thank you, Nate. The camera is stock and not modified for IR, hence the long exposure time. I just happened to find that the camera can be pushed into IR service. Link to comment

GaryR
Impressive output from a stock camera. Nice IR from the 850, but a 720nm would give you better exposure time. I especially like the city/rail scene. Link to comment

I especially like the city/rail scene. Thank you, Gary. I may try a 720nm filter, but I haven't been successful with the filter when I tried it with the stock Nikon D40 and D2H which showed more sensitivity to IR than SIGMA fp. The red channel overwhelmed other color channels, which made it very difficult to tweak. If I tried to push, the image collapsed due to the unacceptable amount of noise. But ten years after that, the RAW data of the current fp could be more manageable. Link to comment
