We survived the upgrade to PHP 8.0 and new Invision Community forum software 

And the Themes all seem to be working.

Admin panel works again. I added a new member just before UVP went offline and his registration survived. Thus now I can trawl for 1(-2?) others who got lost in the period starting from 13 January and DB roll-back.  Their applications ought to be stored off-site in an extra e-mail folder.

There was no DB corruption this time. 

 

I made backups after I took us offline (and before the upgrade) and off-loaded them onto my own pc this time. So if anything went wrong I could immediately restore rather than deal with the server backups. It is about 24G worth of stuff, but I'll hold onto it for a couple of days.

 

This forced change to PHP 8.0 was rough to get ready for. We were not the only website who encountered some errors the first time through. 

 

Gotta go finish checking some stuff.

Congratulations on the upgrade. 

All of UV in only 24 Gigs. Not bad. Just keep that on an old 32Gig SD card for fun.
