Nate
Caught this Grasshopper hanging out on a plant I've let grow from the bird seed I buy at the store. I'm not sure what the crop is, maybe millet? Used Canon 77D, Rokinon 135mm F2 lens, and clip in uv/ir cut. The filter lets a bit of more deep red through but didn't think it was an issue here. Luminated with The Beast UV torch for the fluorescence and an LED camera light for the visible. I'm sure the grasshopper didn't appreciate the intense UV, so I minimized the exposure to them by light painting, and cropped for the closeups. 4sec, F8, iso100 Growing out of a crack in the sidewalk 1.3sec, F2.8 iso100 Visible reference 0.6 sec F5 iso100 Link to comment

Nate
Thanks, I named him Dennis for the late Dennis Hopper. This guy was an Easy Rider along for the shots. Link to comment
