And 100% crops from center (wanted to chekc how UV-Nikkor performs in IR, most photos with auto ISO 100-1000, min shutter speed 1/160s, handheld, f=5.6-22, usually 8 or 11. 16 already seems diffraction limited...

Lukas, pretty photos, but very very dim and noisy on my monitor anyway? I think you should open up a bit and work closer to F/5.6?

I usually shoot with a bit iunderexposure, to be able to catch highlights, also 100% crops are that noisy on Nikon D600, even at ISO around 200 which amazes me, Fuji 50R is a lot better in terms of ISO, I wonder why Nikon D600 has max ISO 6400 while even at 800 it is quite noisy...

Also I would like it to have a lot more dynamic range :P

Many of these are underexposed all the way across the photo, not just the shadows. You can use the histogram and adjust the exposure and that will give better results.

Actually looks like AccuRaw Monochrome made this - JPGs straight from camera (so with debayering algorithm on mono sensor) are OK.

Need to check my settings because I've batch processed them... seems like I need to adjust some settings or (better) open each photo separatelly and do this manually instead of auto-batch - first time I see this, so I need to take a closer look at this program.

But I don't think it will help with ISO noise, just with underexposure.

BTW: 11:14 PM and sun still shines :D

Yes, please look at each photo before posting it. Some things should not be batch processed. Nobody needs to see unedited work (a statement also true for writers and other artists...).

Nikon D600 and D610 have good headroom which means you can expose to the right to avoid noise and yet still capture the highlights.
