Interesting review/discussion on UV sensor technology

I still need to fully digest this paper. But it has some interesting points on UV specific detectors:

Optimizing the UV sensor to eliminate the need for a filter would be nice.

Well, David, I'm not at all afraid to tackle papers on botany, biochemistry, bee vision and whatnot. But that link requires way more double-E than I know at all !!

Just nice to know that this stuff is being researched. Maybe someday we will get an actual UV-capable sensor. It will probably cost a fortune though.
