Other Common Names: Texas Star, Lindheimer Daisy, Lindheimer's Star Comment: Growing profusely in a carpet of Bluebonnets (Lupinus texana) and Indian Paintbrush (Castilleja indivisa). Named for Ferdinand Lindheimer (1801-1879), the “Father of Texas Botany”. A monotypic genus native to the southwestern United States and northern Mexico.
