South-African flowers photographed in ultraviolet (UV) and visible light. LINK Noorsbal (Afrikanns) = Norwegian Ball Euchlora hirsuta is a small species found on the dry plains of the Cape and North Cape provinces of South Africa. Like the majority of species here it is endemic to the region. Overall distribution of E. hirsuta (from http://www.ville-ge.ch/musinfo/bd/cjb/africa/details.php?langue=an&id=125368) I found and photographed E. hirsuta at Nieuwoudtville, Bokkeveld Northern Cape, South Africa. It was growing interspersed with scads of Romulea, Felicia, Cotula, and a vast aray of other colourful, small species.
