Optima QB5

Andrea, for the ZWB3 I noticed it recently, I have 2 in 52mm and one in 67mm.

I left one 24h, a day in the bath and it is good, not perfect but more traces of oxidation.

I can't say the cleaning frequency yet but it's effective. I will keep an eye on it. I have them for about 3 years but still boxed outside of use with BG39 or TSN575

ZWB3 oxidizes faster than BG39

As you wrote, don't wait too long.

I prefer the ZWB3 to the QB5 or QB29, ZB1, ZB2.

I'm looking for a U330 in 52mm but I think it's nowhere to be found. Insect vision fascinates me.

Thanks

An alternative might be to protect the surface by treating it with something like RainEx.
I have done that with all the ionic non coated filters I suspect might corrode.

If I remember correctly Colin had good results with a similar product a few years ago.

He is living in a more humid and hot place than I am so his results are more valid than mine
