Testing out the macro side of my new Nikkor 80mm, had to put every extension tube I have, but this lens amazes me every shot. Canon 1500D/ Baader U, 365 torch with broken cd case scratched up as a diffuser (learned that from reading on UVP can't remember who) 

Edit: I just saw the hot pixel, crap.

That's looking good! Increase local contrast slightly?

Put a cardboard box in back of the subject to clean up the background?

 

Enlarger lenses are wonderful for close-ups because of the flat field.

Excellent. Yeah, the EL-Nikkor 80mm was my sharpest lens for ages, and still is in UV. (I have a Sony FE 24mm/1.4 GM that is my sharpest lens in visible light.)

Thanks Andy. I don't think I snapped a shot in plain visible for almost a year. Just looked up that Sony lens, whoa $1300, bet that is pretty sharp.
