nfoto
The accepted binary name is not a synonym, Andrea .... Link to comment
Andrea B.
That one is spelled with two ii. The other one is spelled with one i. Hence the listing. Link to comment
nfoto
That doesn't make it a synonym. Orthographic variations occur. The common practice with a epithet in possessive form is -ii, by the way, assuming the honoured person is male. There is a tendency to keep the original spelling, but later corrections are not uncommon and if they are "blessed" by the International Botany Congress will overrule any objections. Nice documentary photos, would be great to have something showing the habit of the entire plant, foliage as well? Link to comment
Andrea B.
They're on the way. Just haven't gotten there yet. I went and got a new set of synonyms from Kew. Link to comment

Bill De Jager
Lovely photos, Andrea, with a very nice 3-D effect. Did you do focus stacking? So you're growing your own composites in your garden. :-) I used to do a bit of that before it became too shaded some years ago. Link to comment
Andrea B.
No focus stacking in these. I lack the patience for that! Link to comment
