NO: Kvitmure; hvitmureSE: TrollsmultronDK: Sten-PotentilFI: ValkohanhikkiDE: Felsen-Fingerkraut EN: Rock Cinquefoil An uncommon species native to Europe and increasingly becoming endangered over parts of its range. It prefers quite dry habitats on calcareous soils, mainly in the lowlands. It is red listed in several countries. The specimen was photographed near Oslo, Norway, on one of the few remaining Norwegian locations for D. rupestris, 13 June, 2012. Visible light: Nikon D700, Medical-Nikkor 120 mm f/4 lens, built-in flash. Do note slight blurring of flower on right hand side, due to wind-induced movement. Ultraviolet light: Panasonic GH-2, Coastal APO 60 mm f/4 lens, Baader U 2" (Venus) filter, SB-140 flash. Some large patches of conical cells make parts of the petals appear velvety.
