colinbm
Thanks AndreaI am liking the Colour Brush at the moment, it is easier to remember & less steps. The brush is just as tedious as herding marching ants into line ;)I am learning about the colour degrees & RGB numbers.CheersCol Link to comment
colinbm
Is this the correct botanical name for this Passion Fruit flower, Passiflora edulis fo. flavicarpa O. Deg. 1932, please ?I don't know what the abbreviated letters stand for ?http://www.orchids-f...-fo-flavicarpa/Col Link to comment
Andrea B.
The "fo" is an abbreviation for "form" or "forma" to indicate a minor variation in the given plant from the standard characteristics of that plant.I also see Passiflora edulis var. flavicarpa used for your flower. "Var" is an abbreviation for "variety". It's probably best to use "var" as that seems to be the preferred name. "O. Deg" is the abbreviation for Otto Degener, the botanist (botanical authority or botanical author) who first described this plant in 1932.LINK: http://en.wikipedia....ki/Otto_Degener Link to comment
colinbm
Thanks very much AndreaI'll learn a bit more about this Passionfruit when the fruit ripens, then I'll know if it is the yellow fruit or the deep dark violet coloured one ?Col Link to comment
