Nico
just in case somebody here is interested: This lens is listed on Ebay: http://www.ebay.co.u...E:SS:SS:DE:3160 For me the 300 mm seem inapproriate for my type of UV (macro) photography. I hesitated two days ago, when a 85 mm UA-Takumar was available:http://www.ebay.co.u...K%3AMEBIDX%3AIT It was sold after only a few hours ... Link to comment
nfoto
I saw the listing for the 300 as well, but wasn't tempted. The lens is too long and/or impractical for my main fields of interest in UV photography. Besides, I have a 300/5.5 with passable performance for UV landscapes already. I allocated the same sum to a vintage stereo amplified instead :D thus gave the equivalent support to UK national economy. Link to comment
JCDowdy
Nico, In case you encounter another 300mm UA-Tak, it is a Vis-NIR lens not a UV-Vis-NIR lens like the 85mm counterpart. The 300mm is only corrected for CA from 400-850 nm according to this ASAHI PENTAX Operating Manual. Link to comment
Andrea B.
yeah I thought I was remembering that this 300mm UAT was more of an ir lens...... i very much like the 85 UAT - one of my favorite lenses. Link to comment
