dabateman
The Samsung smart phone sensor has been officially announced. The specification that interested me is that the pixels are 0.8um in size. That is 800nm!I wonder what that means for IR detection. Link to comment
Andy Perrin
Probably blurry IR photos? There is a nice explanation here of the effects of pixel size. https://www.cambridg...photography.htm Link to comment
dabateman
Seems to be a lot of assumptions taken at your link. Also their online calculators don't scale correctly.I remember reading on Clark vision a limit of 2um for decent pixel size. The oversampling of these will be quite high. Link to comment
Andy Perrin
The link is an explanation of the basic physics. There are not many assumptions. Link to comment
