ulf
A man accepted posing for an informal portrait in IR yesterday. The wide angle of the lens distort his features in an interesting way. Another interesting thing I see in the image is his apparently very small pupils.I do not remember seeing that in VIS.Is this a typical IR image result? Link to comment
ulf
Thanks Steve. He looks a bit crazy in the image, doesn't he?In reality he seamed like a nice guy. I do not know why there are two identical topics.I posted just once, but it took a long time to finish. Link to comment
dabateman
I don't know about the pupil diameter. My hand waiving explanation would be that, ir gives better depth into an object, whereas uv offers the high detail surface. For the eye then we could assume your imaging deeper into the eye seeing where the pupil closes more. Only way to know is do an IR, vis, uv eye image and see if the pupil diameter changes. Based on his expression, I think we may also expect very wide pupils, also clouding our judgment on their actual size. Link to comment
nfoto
Tiny pupils are typical of IR portraits. Link to comment
