lukaszgryglicki
The view from our flat east - this is the Mauna Loa. The next photo is a sunscreen in UV-B. Gear: GFX 50R mono, UV-Nikkor, UV-B Plus filter from uvroptics.com (https://www.uvroptics.com/index.php?UVBplus). Link to comment
Andy Perrin
Nice! Did you get a UV-A pic from the same spot to compare? Link to comment
lukaszgryglicki
Nope, I can do but I don't have a tripod while on vacation, so composition will be different when I change filters - I know what you want, but this would rather be tricky, actually let me change the title, it is misleading, I think there is still more UV-A there than UV-B - as this is a simple single filter, not my UV-B stack. I will take UV-Nikkor to Mauna Load summit, expecting to have a lot of UV there 4100+ meters above the sea level. Link to comment
Stefano
Did you bring your Invisible Vision filters? Link to comment
lukaszgryglicki
I don't because they are not usable at all without a tripod. Link to comment
dabateman
@lukaszgryglicki, This is a bit off topic but have you seen these clip filters for the 50R: https://www.stcoptics.com/products/clipfilter-sets-for-fujifilm-gfx-series-cameras They might help you. Link to comment
lukaszgryglicki
Looking good, especially for IR. Link to comment
lukaszgryglicki
Rad to Mauna Loa is blocked by the recent lava flow that destroyed it, so we only got that far. We plan to go to Mauna Kea summit instead - tomorrow. Those are all Fuji 50R mono + UV-Nikkor from Mauna Load road block (UV, IR and FS) - Mauna Kea as seen from Mauna Loa access road - the day was completely clear, no clouds at all, the "fog" is due to distance: UV FS IR Link to comment
colinbm
I like the details in the last one, is it really FS & not IR ? Link to comment
lukaszgryglicki
The order is: 1st - UV, 2nd - FS, 3rd - IR. Link to comment
lukaszgryglicki
The road to Mauna Kea was closed :( due to high winds, I was only able to make a photo from the Visitor Center 2700 masl: Link to comment
lukaszgryglicki
Got to the summit another day (3rd trial), alone, was at the top before the sunrise. Temperature was +3 degrees Celsius (37 F) and the air pressure was 582 hPa. Climbed to the actual summit 4207 masl. I like how Mauna Kea casts shadow into the saddle between Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa - tens of miles away. Those photos are from unconverted Fuji GFX 100s + GF 50/3.5 lens. Link to comment
Stefano
What a beautiful place! Sunrise there must feel special. Link to comment
ulf
Nice images. Now is the first time I have been able to see all of them due to the strange slow behaviour of the UVP. Link to comment
