Andy Perrin
Count the windows... (Please forgive the ugly phone-cam shot for comparison.) FLIR E60 (new camera!!!) panorama, LWIR (7500nm-14000nm) Visible Link to comment
Hornblende
Andy, that's great! Now you can see which of your neighbors grow marijuana under their roof ;)As for the windows.. I am not sure. Link to comment
Andy Perrin
There seem to be four boarded up windows UNDER the vinyl siding! Most visible one is on the left. Link to comment
OlDoinyo
And I would say that the exhaust fan at upper right had been recently used. Link to comment
Cadmium
I am flabbergasted! :o An E60!? Used? eBay? Those are kind of pricey...I like how you can change lenses on them.I would like to have one of those rather than the E4/8 mod, just so I can changes the lens.If you see another one of those that is 'seasonably priced', let me know.http://www.flir.com/instruments/exx-series/?pi_ad_id=207804673804&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIo_LYqZzj2AIVh4l-Ch0DZQ7JEAAYASAAEgIsZvD_BwE See how the insulation used to fill in the walled in windows is different than the original insulation, and insulated better than the older sections of the walls.Little do these people know we are all talking about their house insulation, walls, studs, rafters and exhaust vents... :D Link to comment
Andy Perrin
While it was still pricey by normal standards (and I will not be getting a UV-Nikkor now...) it was indeed an insanely good price. I paid well under half the original list price. The interchangeable lens thing was a big factor although finding an IR lens for under $1k is going to be hard. At least I have some room to grow with this one, though! Link to comment
Cadmium
Andy, Very nice. You are very smart about Flir's...I guess the lens that comes with it would be about the same angle of view as the E4-8 models. Oh, by the way, how many pic pan is that? Link to comment
Andy Perrin
That's about a 3.5 pic pan, side-to-side (they overlap). The angular field of view is identical to the E4-8's, 25 degrees. (FLIR's add-on lenses are 15 and 45 degrees.) Link to comment
Cadmium
I thought the E4-8 view was about 45.No? Link to comment
Cadmium
OK, looked it up.E4 - E8:Field of View 45° × 34°http://www.flir.com/instruments/e8-wifi/?pi_ad_id=205952193112&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI9fGC-dvj2AIVTW1-Ch2mUQS_EAAYASAAEgKN0vD_BwE For the E60 is says:Lens Options Standard: 25°; Optional: 15° Tele, 45° WideSo maybe your standard lens is 25?http://www.flir.com/instruments/exx-series/?pi_ad_id=207804673801&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI0_2Nutzj2AIVx19-Ch3S9QrBEAAYASAAEgLhqfD_BwE Link to comment
Andy Perrin
I mis-typed! I meant to say it was identical to the i7's AFOV of 25 degrees. Brain glitch. Link to comment
Andrea B.
I was struck by just how much the "heat rises" effect can be seen in the smallest upper window, the chimney and the roof vent. And the roof beams can be seen. Link to comment
