Andrea B.
Check out Boon's latest test of 10 UV-capable lenses: http://myphotojourne...hift-sharpness/ Added: Boon's test reminds me that I have one of those ruler focusing gadgets which I've never used. Maybe I'll try to find it for UV lens testing. Link to comment
Timber
Back then I made one for myself too to calibrate AF of my ol' Pentax K20D. If anyone is feeling like to make one for themselves here's a DIY version:http://petapixel.com/2013/03/12/ghettoca-a-diy-lens-calibration-tool-for-micro-adjustment-enabled-dslrs/ Link to comment
Andrea B.
But there is no alignment port on that DIY model?? How do you get the image plane parallel to the target?? Link to comment
Timber
I am not sure what you mean by the alignment port :D but to me it seems exactly the same what boon used. When I used it I used a bubble leveller to make sure they are parallel or with wide aperture lenses I just made sure all the corners of the [+] screen are equally sharp. Link to comment
Andrea B.
Here is a focusing gadget with an alignment port which ensures the image plane is parallel to the target. Somewhere under one of the tabs it shows how it works.http://michaeltapesdesign.com/lensalign.html Link to comment
