Alex H
Few shots done last year in my homeland, either with Kyoei 35mm F/3.5 or with Focotar-II 100mm F/5.6 lens, Baader U2 filter and full spectrum NEX-5N. nfoto
These are excellent evidence that UV can play a part in landscape photography. Care to share information of the flora depicted? Apparently there are some flowers here with a great deal of UV reflectivity (pictures 2,4). Link to comment
Alex H
Just some ordinary Malva (2) and Senecio (4). There is also Hypericum (1). Floral photography was not my priority and I did not have necessary literature and internet access to make proper identification. Link to comment
nfoto
Thanks anyway. Interesting how these flower stand out in the landscape. Link to comment
Andrea B.
Some good work Alex.UV landscapes are tough, I think, but you have captured a nice subtlety of tone with these minimalist (of a sort) compositions. So it all hangs together quite well after the eye adjusts to the UV-ness. [ 'hangs together' is not an official art term. "-) ] Link to comment
Alex H
Thanks Andrea, Minimalistic it is. The last one, with the horse and Senecio is my favourite of all UV-landscapes I have shot so far. Link to comment
JCDowdy
Very nice Alex, #3 appeals to me the most, it seems so familiar yet a world away. Link to comment
