Kuri 35mm on eBay

Here is a Kuribayashi 35mm f/3.5 on eBay, in Arizona.

"Vintage Kuribayashi Petri Orikkor K.C. 35mm f3.5 No.36478"

eBay item number: 294141759850

It is not cheap, but it is an excellent lens for UV.

The real thing, not a clone.

Andy, you are buying some nice gear lately.

Looking forward to see what you can do with it. They are special because they are sharp and have very little focus shift between VIS and UV (and a very deep reach).

Well I am still working on the “ghost advertisement” project with ICA, which needs sharp wide-angle images across the spectrum, so that’s one thing it will probably be used for.

It came! It was in pretty good shape. I cleaned it up with some lens fluid and now I just need free time to snap some photos!

I was surprised by one thing — is the aperture meant not to click? It just turns smoothly like with a video lens.

There are two rings on those, as with some other older lenses, one should have a click stop (preset ring), the other has no click (diaphragm ring).

Ah, I see - I think my Noflexar does that too, I just wasn't expecting it and I only had a few minutes to look at it earlier.

Congrats, Andy, on scoring a Kuri !!

I managed to get one a couple of months ago, but have not yet played with it. Should be fun.
