ins13
Hello everyone! It's been a strange year. Since last fall, I went out to take pictures once only. I tried to use my new flash that modified by https://invis-light.livejournal.com/ . with a zwb2 glass 2mm thick.Anyone who still remembers me knows that I photograph nature "as it is". only Nature, only hardcore. no studio or laboratory conditions. but because of this, the quality of images is appropriate, there is little sharpness, and a lot of noise due to high ISO. an open aperture, a small depth of field, and the eternal pursuit of an ISO/shutter speed ratio that allows you to photograph without blurring and with a not too dark picture. with the flash it is too dark, there is not enough ISO, it had to be raised to 3200 and 6400. Aperture 2 and 2.8I do not think that the photos are remarkable, but I so want to write something on my favorite forum, on the only one where understand "such art" Link to comment
colinbm
Nice work, those flowers have some nice fluorescence. What is the fruit please ?Some fruit have unusual fluorescence when cut open... Link to comment
ins13
colinbm, thank you very much!!!) These are apples. But this year there were not the variety of apples that glows very, very bright blue. This variety has a weak glowI always forget to cut them open to see what's in them Link to comment

nfoto
The first one in the series is particularly nice. The overall composition acts to enhance the final outcome. The others are nice too, but my favourite remains #1. We should not be slaves to the technology we use. If high ISO is required, then put the "noise" to be integral to the envisioned image. A clear visual concept is far more important than any technical objection. Technology is just the means to an end, not a goal in itself. Do keep up the good work. Link to comment
ins13
nfoto, thank you so much!!! I waited a year to take a photo "the moon and blue apples" on a branch, but I didn't wait - this year there was no harvest of such apples. So I will wait another year and repeat this story, but with blue apples))) I hope I get lucky) I think their bright blue glow will outshine the moon)) Yes, thank you very much, you are undoubtedly right - I often can't photograph something due to technical situations - raising the ISO is probably the lesser evil Link to comment
nfoto
Be grateful our cameras do allow so easily to increase the ISO settings to figures previously unthinkable ... when I first entered the field of photography many many moons ago, ASA (our current ISO) could be 10 to 25. Link to comment
ins13
How true you say! Exactly!! And I'm grateful!!!! otherwise I wouldn't be able to do anything at all Link to comment
bvf
Great photos! I especially admire you for photographing nature in the wild! I bring my subjects indoors where I can control the environment, keep them out of the breeze, and keep ISO and aperture close to optimum. For protected species like the small orchids you get in the UK I've tried photographing them in situ, but with only limited success. So well done, you. Looks like a couple of your photos are White Deadnettle or Archangel - great flowers to photograph. Link to comment
nfoto
I think some are Ajuga reptans. Not very important of course for this kind of photography, and either suggestion leads to Lamiaceae anyway. Link to comment
ins13
Bernard Foot, thanks a lot!!! Yes, my interest is photo in the nature and in no other way - I don't know why. by the wind, everything is moving, to have to wait for it to subside for at least a second) But with a flash it's easier - the shutter speed is shorter. and I want to try 2 flashes at once. i only need to purchase and modify the second one nfoto, those flowers that are white in the fluorescence seem to smell like mint. And those with gold lighting flowers are similar to nettle leaves and stems. I don't know plants at all Link to comment
dabateman
Excellent images. Photos 5 and 10 are my favorites. I too haven't photographed much this year. Really need to change that.I have a list of projects to try. Glad your still around. These days are crazy. Link to comment
