There are many ways to mount a Convoy S2+, and here is another.

These little CLIC pipe clamps fit the Convoy nicely if you specifically get the 25 size version.

Neat idea, Cadmium. The photo reminded me of something that happened today.

 

I'm trying my hand at UV 3-D focus-stacked macro-photography. On the 5th subject. Completed the 50 shots for the right-hand image - painful because by now the flash guns were overheating after about 6 successive shots, necessitating a cooling-off wait. Anyway, set the rig up to start the left-hand sequence, using the Convoy to align the camera on the subject through the Baader U. Then as I moved the Convoy away, the strap - so clearly shown in your picture - caught on one of the knobs on the bellows unit and moved the whole rig, measning I had to start over again. (And as it turned out, the result finally achieved wasn't very good.)

 

I've now removed the straps from both my Convoys.

this makes S2+ easily mountable. great.

I have used the Halex conduit hangers. They are metal clamps with a great base to mount an arc quick plate.

I will have to see which number I used for the convoy. They were under a dollar for 3 pre-COVID at home depot.
