A KG1 and KG3 comparison

Using Schott BG3 2mm alone, and stacked with KG1 2mm, and stacked with KG3 2mm.

KG can be used with various filters to attenuate upper IR content in different amounts.

So UV and Vis with a shot of IR under the KG glass. What is KG glass used for typically? Anyone know??

 

I always liked the soft green the solo BG3 gives. But that center photo is kinda cool too with the blue and lime green. How did you WB these? Was it an average WB?

Heat absorbing, cold light, shortpass, IR attenuation filter.

 

I think I white balanced these in CNX2, or Photo Ninja.

 

It is also possible that KG1 (= MaxMax CC2) is close to what is used in some cameras for the internal filter.

CC1 = BG38, CC2 = KG1, these are two different animals.
