Andrea B.
I was just about to order a lens spanner wrench for removing those grooved rings on filters or lenses. Do anyone have any advice about which is preferable: straight leg or curved leg? Here are the Ebay links to both: Neewer stainless curved leg: http://www.ebay.com/...=item2c842c2537 Neewer stainless straight leg style: http://www.ebay.com/...196046647&rt=nc Link to comment
enricosavazzi
I prefer straight, but I can see that there may be uses for the bent ones. I actually wonder whether the bent legs should be assembled the opposite way (pointing outwards, not inwards). It would make better sense in tight quarters. Link to comment
JCDowdy
Depends on haw small a gap you think you might need to span. The curved one will close down smaller is all. Iggy posted another design, which I forgot to purchase, which appears more sturdy. added...I may try this one if I have need for one it will be nice to have in hand. Link to comment
Andrea B.
One bar versus two bar design. I give up. Maybe I'll just get all three. :D Link to comment
colinbm
The one that John has shown, is the most stable & will resist racking or deforming when turning difficult rings, & also the easiest to adjust & keep in alignment.http://www.ebay.com/...196046647&rt=ncCol Link to comment
rfcurry
I use the two rod straight leg style. If you need to get just a touch of a curve, you tighten the outer allen screws and use some sideways pressure before tightening the inner screws. Link to comment
Andrea B.
I bought both a two-rod straight leg and a one-rod version. That should cover it !! Link to comment
