nfoto Posted December 6, 2014 Share Posted December 6, 2014 Thus, with a very small market segment, even starting out with something basically cheap to make will probably end up as something expensive. There is also the question of making quality optics in particular if you require relatively short (or long) focal lengths (ie. wide or narrow fields of view). Silica on its own won't suffice.
