Andy Perrin
My best guess is that this is a "nap-at-noon," ornithogalum umbellatum. I would be willing to make this a formal post if the ID can be confirmed? Visible reference (iPhone 6S Plus, and I promise I'll get a UV/IR cut filter soon!) NEX-7, 330WB80, sunshine, 10", ISO100 (forgot to note the aperture but probably middle high-ish) Crop of visible Crop of UV Link to comment
Andrea B.
Yes, looks like O. umbellatum, "Star of Bethlehem".Tell me if there is a lighter coloured line on the leaf ??And what if anything is on the abaxial petal/tepal surface. Link to comment
Andy Perrin
Andrea, I think this is what you wanted to see? I'm relatively untutored on plant anatomy, but this is the back surface of the petals and what I HOPE are the leaves. It's rather densely planted back in there, so it was a little difficult to tell which leaves belonged to which plant. Link to comment
Andrea B.
The white stripe on the leaf (the narrow ones) and the green stripe on the underside of the petal confirm that this is O. umbellatum. :) Link to comment
Andrea B.
So, Andy, where is that formal post promised 6 years ago? Just kiddin'..... But should you find some time, why not? Link to comment
Andy Perrin
Oh god, I suck at writing things up. This is why I'm tutoring people not doing real science. Real scientists have to really publish, and that always makes me want to go hide under a rock somewhere. Link to comment

Haven't done much post-processing. Need to kick start myself again. Link to comment
