Some favourite IR images

Recommended Posts

Image 1: A false colour IR image of Cwm Ideal, north Wales, UK. It is composed of a monochrome IR image, and green and red channels from an RGB image, re- coloured in Photoshop to simulate the way that IR false colour film worked. It may be too garish for some tastes (including mine!)

2. I much prefer the subtlety that cane achieved. In this case the IR image was "channel swapped" to give blue water!

I love the second one!

You can almost hear the sound of the water.

What was the exposure time?

The ferns fractal like shape is always interesting.

The exposure time was 1/30th second with 200 ISO. I have top say the shot was an accident when testing some new filters!

I like them both.

Bring on the psychedelic in the first one!, and that blue waterfall stream is a perfect accent in the second.

Lovely composition in the 2nd photo.

The funny thing is that over time the brightly coloured images we UV/IR photographs tend to produce have begun to look "normal" to me.
