Some favourite UVR images

Having time to reflect at present, these images remind me why we do this!

Image 1: Nepenthes reinwardtiana in UVR. No one knows the purpose of the "eye spots".

2: Carnivorous plant: Sarracenia sp. in UVR, showing UV absorbent nectar which lures insect prey to it's death! Interesting that the visible patterns disappear in UV.

3: Male Brimstone butterfly in UVR. An attempt to show how the bright patch shown in UV might "flash" on and off during flight to attract a female.
