nfoto
Welcome to UVP. This is the place to learn anything about UV, and IR as well. I don't think we have seen the Samsung model modified before, so will be interesting to know more about it. Link to comment
David475
This is the graph courtesy of kolari vision. The original flash disassembled. The xenon tube is uncoated? This camera is suitable for uv photography? Link to comment
David475
Add the table and flash disassembled Link to comment
ulf
Hi David, Welcome to the forum. Your image of the flash makes me think that it is a rather small flash. The flash tube and reflector looks really tiny. To get enough UV-light from a flash for UV photography it must be a rather strong flash. Even if the tube would be uncoated I think this one is way too small. Just as you need a much longer exposure time for UV than for visual, you need more powerful flashes and they are only strong enough to work for objects reasonably close.Without flash the difference in exposure time between UV and VIS can be around 1000x longer. Andrea B.
Hello David and welcome to UVP! I don't think we have had examples of a Samsung conversion used here. So we will be looking forward to your contributions. You might have already found our Reference section, but here is the link anyway: https://www.ultravioletphotography.com/content/index.php/forum/38-references-lists-stickies/ Do you have a UV-pass filter yet? We have filters listed here: https://www.ultravioletphotography.com/content/index.php/topic/663-sticky-uvvisir-filters/ Most of us here make photographs in UV, IR and mixed light wavebands. Our IR posting section is here: https://www.ultravioletphotography.com/content/index.php/forum/504-infrared-photos/ We are a small, slow forum. If any of your questions are not immediately answered, please be patient. Link to comment
