DaveO
Just published in Australasian Science journalhttp://www.australas...birds-bees.html An article "Flower evolution from the birds to the bees" by Shrestha M. Dyer A.G. and Burd M. Explains, for the general reader the differences in the visual systems of humans, bees and birds and how this has influenced the evolution of flower color with bee-pollinated flowers having spectral signals about 400 and 500 nm and bird-pollinated flower colours tending towards longer red wavelengths.
