Hakea decurrens is a prickly shrub common in mountainous districts of Southern New South Wales and central and eastern Victoria.

This Hakea genus has quite some variation. Very interesting to see the examples in your recent posts.

 

The red, green and white is striking in this visible H. decurrens. Makes one wish that maybe the UV showed a bit of variation too. :(

"Skippy" the Bush Kangaroo thinks twice before browsing on shrubs like this. Imagine walking through "bush" composed of this :(
