A. phoenicea Scop.NO: NonsblomSE: RödmireDK: Rød ArveFI: Puna-alpiDE: Acker-Gauchheil EN: Scarlet Pimpernel A tiny annual plant with red flowers that only open under sunny conditions at day time, it is native to Eurasia and introduced elsewhere, so the distribution as a whole is world wide.It prefers open, dry habitats often on agricultural land without a closed vegetation cover. In continental Europe it is rather common, but towards the North it becomes rare and the locations are transient over time. Specimens collected at Les Sables d'Olonne, France 4 Jun 2011.
