King & H.E. Robins.Eupatorium dubium Willd. ex Poir.Eupatorium ternifolium Ell.Comment:This purplish-stemmed, tall Joe-Pye weed was found growing inland at the edge of a pond. Some wasps, skippers and a Tiger Swallowtail butterfly visited while I was photographing the plant. In UV the rays on the discoid flowers have a pleasing dark blue false colour. Reference:1.
