Wildflower

Synonyms:

  • False Dandelion
  • Hairy Cat's-ear
  • Hypochoeris radicata L. orth. var.

Comment:

Its yellow rays and fluffy seed head are similar to the look of a Dandelion, but Cat's Ear has much longer forked stems and different involucre features. In Ultraviolet light the capitulum has a diffuse UV-black central bullseye also similar to that of the Dandelion flower.
