Comment:
Key to identification of P. longifolia in southwestern Colorado it the white calyx membrane which forms a ridged or "keeled" appearance between the calyx lobes.
The small white area at the base of each petal becomes UV-dark, while the moderately UV-absorbing corolla shows some very narrow UV-dark striations.
