Comment:

A Rocky Mountain native, Mahonia repens with its dark green, holly-like leaf, cheerful yellow spikes of blooms and edible fall blue berries is ubiquitous in southwestern Colorado. Cultivars of the plant are widely used in landscaping because of its drought tolerance and deer resistance.

The flower spike is moderately reflective in UV with a very pretty dual yellow & blue false coloration.
