Cultivar in home garden

 

Synonyms:

  • 石竹 shi zhu (Chinese)

Comment:

The visible red petals are so dark in UV that it was difficult to show their detail in the photograph. There is a brighter center star around the stamens and pistil which are somewhat more UV-reflective than the perianth.
