Went out to look at the Omphalotus nidiformis Unfortunately a little bit late in the season and they are a bit old but here are some shots from the night.

Very nice images. That mushroom glowimg is so cool! It would be interesting to see if it emits invisible light too (if it does it's probably infrared).

Wow, they are good shots, very interesting.

Do these mushrooms glow all night ?

 

Thank you!! Yes it is not a visible glow until you do a long exposure and gather up the light but yeah they glow all night i think

Logs are great fluorescence targets.

 

These are all amazing images. It would be interesting to see what Stefano said, if they emit infrared also.
