Hooded Pitcher Plant

Recommended Posts

The carnivorous Hooded Pitcher Plant (Sarracenia minor) is found in the southern US. Quite unexpectedly the rim fluoresced, similar to the various tropical Nepenthes plants I have tried.

Technical: Nikon D850 with 105mm micro Nikkor. UVF: "Nemo" torch, light painted, 10 seconds @ f/16, 200 ISO

Exactly what I thought at first, then I thought this botanical snake must also be blind as I cannot see any eyes.
