DB850 full spectrum shots

Recommended Posts

A couple shots with the DB850/Y#12 stack, on my a7R w/ Nikkor 50mm/f1.8 Ai lens. The vignetting is intentional in the first; The second used to be a major railway route, now just a muddy field.

Thanks Colin. I look forward to seeing what the fp can do.

Much appreciated Andy. We were quite struck by this abandoned house on a recent short trip. Lots of no trespassing signs, but I had to stop by on the way back home.

Thanks Gary, If you don't want me to post this here I can remove it.....OK

My first try to replicate Gary's " DB850/Y#12 stack " with the converted Sigma fp.

I have the DB850 & B&W 099, which I believe to be the same ?

I got a WB on a grey card.

The scene is a sea side with basalt boulders & a She Oak tree.

First shot is SOOC.

Second shot is with a RGB > GRB channel swap.

Thanks Stefano, I am pretty happy too

The only thing that would make that water any better is the young mother that was at the beach too, but I didn't ask....

Colin,

Sure, post away.

Looks like you're getting more of a 590nm 'goldie' yellow foliage result with the DB850/099 stack.

My SOOC shots look like this with the DB850+Tiffen #12

Andy Perrin

Mine look like Gary's for DB850+Tiffen12 without processing, although I usually white balance in camera also.

Colin, those photos are wonderful!

Thanks guys, I have a few different yellow filters, so I will try them all & see how it goes.

I am really enjoying the IQ of this Sigma fp & even lenses I didn't like on the Sigma Foveon SD15 are popping on the Bayer fp.

Love that old house! Very Stephen King-ish.

The blue version looks like it's snow all around even though I know it's not.
