How to Embed a YouTube Video [NEW]

Get the YouTube video identifier.
Then type in the following https string where you want the video to appear.
The UVP software does the rest.

Format: .Note that there is no "www". There are no media or embed tags.
https://youtube.com/IDENTIFIER

Example:
https://youtube.com/I9gzjPLh-IA

Comment:
  • The video will play in a 640 x 480 sized area (16:9) according to NTSC standards.
  • Old embedded YouTube videos are not automatically updated to the 640 x 480 size.
    You will have to edit your old post and re-embed using this method.

Thanks! I just changed my snowflake in SWIR video to be full sized.

Andrea, why 640x400 rather than 640x480? That seems like an odd choice. The 640x480 is the NTSC standard.

I figured there would be a standard, but didn't know it.

Vimeo doesn't fit that standard. No matter as I can set their dimensions separately. (See How to Embed a Vimeo Video.)
