Hypoxis acuminata BakerEN: African Potato A small, bulbous plant endemic to southern Africa where it grows on the high veld. This genus sees medicinal use by native tribes as a treatment against various illnesses amongst these cancer and HIV. Plants photographed in Malolotja Nature Reserve, Swaziland 16 Aug 2013. They had just come into flowering and the deterrmination of them is tentative.
