Here's my copy of the Carl Zeiss 60mm f4 UV-Objektiv lens. Shown mounted on to Canon EOS 5DS R using an Exakta to EOS adapter.

I'll be posting up some results of testing this lens in another thread - https://www.ultravioletphotography.com/content/index.php/topic/3943-testing-the-carl-zeiss-60mm-f40-uv-objektiv/page__view__findpost__p__36260

Some nicer pictures of the lens itself coming soon, courtesy of Andrea.....

I wonder how this lens differs from the Coastal 60/4 APO? That is, apart from presumably much more elusive and might even be more expensive as well ??

The CoastalOpt is a much more complex optical design, and is a much 'better' lens. The Zeiss 60mm f4 has some pretty horrendous focus shifts with different wavelengths. From what I have seen the price for the Coastal Opt 60mm is much higher than this one. The issue is finding one of the Zeiss 60mm UV-Objektiv ones if you want one.

Jonathan, I've uploaded the photos which you can arrange/delete as desired. I think your front facing version is sharper than mine. Don't forget to add a link to your test topic for this lens. "-)

I'm thinking that these days the UV-Objektiv 60/4 has mostly historical/collector's value. If one were going to currently spend $$$-$$$$ on an uncorrected, UV-dedicated lens, then those are easily found. Still, being a Carl Zeiss Jena lens, the UVO 60 is well made and sweet to use. Best with a narrowband UV-pass of course.

Andrea, I've just added in the link to the test thread. Yes, I agree this is more of a collectors lens, although as you say, used with caution it can still generate great images.
