Thz irradiation may disrupt actin filaments formation in living cells

If true will add fire to the anti cellphone and wireless radiation movement.

But 30 minutes is longer than anyone should be in a scanner for. So the direct impact where we use THz waves shouldn't be affected.

Its the twist on similar frequencies that will push this. But intensity and duration matters, and that might get lost.

Somebody should add a summary and the paper link to the Wikipedia article.

Reveiw for me please, are Terahertz waves currently used in any device? I did not read the paper, and I do not know about Thz. Thanks!!

Always trying to learn. Not sure I always do.

THz technology is in its beginning, and THz waves are difficult to generate and detect. There are millimeter wave scanners in some airports, but usually THz waves are considered to be about 10 times smaller in wavelength. They can penetrate clothes and thin materials, and thus they can be used to find hidden metal objects just like X-rays, but, unlike them, they are (?) safe, as far as we know.
