Are lips normally UV-yellow?

Great portrait. I am glad you didn't use your drone killing LED as a light source.

You could make that your image. Looks like you either need a shave or to grow it out for a few more years, if you want that ZZ top look.

I will do one shaved, when I will have a sunny day. If I could shoot a selfie in SWIR, that would be 100% my profile image, no doubt.

I am not pretty in IR, I will have to try it again.

That's one of the best UV portraits I've seen, Stefano. Somehow the IR one didn't work out. Maybe one reason is the eyes, but I think it's really the light source. Sunlight filtered by an IR-pass filter seems to give much more flattering results.

Really? Nice! I have learned how to shoot “blindfolded” (I can’t see what I am doing). If I see my right eye reflected on the filter, it means that I am centered. I look different with my 365 nm LED (I used it as a light source, maybe 20-30 cm from my face). Imperfections in my skin really stand out at that wavelength. I might also try far red (736 nm).

This is my personal bias, but men usually look better in UV. Rough, tougher with more contrast and harsh lines.

Women look better in IR. Smoothes out the skin softens lines and has a glow.

If you want smooth skin, shout in IR. Like that girly Justine Berber look.

UV photons are aggressive, and don't penetrate deeply into things. IR photons are soft and delicate, and penetrate deeply.
