Isopogon ceratophyllus occurs naturally in Victoria, Tasmania and South Australia in sandy soils that may be subjected to extreme wetness for lengthy periods. It is rarely seen in cultivation. It was first introduced into England in 1824.

At first, the flower looked rather plain in UV. But then I saw that cool little purple stripe.

Pollinators must be careful with this flower!
