Testing out Cokin 050

Recommended Posts

Just got the cokin 050, cyan. I did some quick test shots.

All photos f8 iso200

Photo 1: resin nd2(ir pass) 1/320"

Photo 2: glass nd2, 1/200"

Photo 3: just cokin 050 1/800"

As you see the resin nd filter allows too much ir to pass. The glass nd renders mostly red ir. Just the cokin 050, ir is orange. But it let's in so much more light. Last picture is just an orange level hue adjustment. Next up HTCLP, HM, some colored filters.

Keep an eye on your grays and whites. See 'gray' street color and whites in your photos?

See gray gravel and whites in this photo? In camera white balance, no post adjustments except auto contrast in PS.

Lee 729 + KG3, WhiBal gray card.

Please don't do that again.

Yes, it's RED. But there's not much else left. You've crushed all the details and it looks like

to color the whole neighbourhood...
