Annisquam River, Gloucester, 980nm

A different view of the river this time. I got rather tired of shooting from mom's balcony, although it was definitely the warmest option, since I could just go back in the house when I got too cold.

 

This is through the 980BP10 filter, which is at the NIR water absorption peak. As expected, you get nice dark water, which I have further enhanced with some contrast adjustment. Camera was the Sony A7S, lens was the EL-Nikkor 80mm/5.6 metal.

Clouds such as those would have the right coverage to do a chronochromic series.

I teally like this image. The light hits the houses nicely, with the dark water and clouds.

I will have to get out and try more BW.

I really love that Dark Water and moody Skies. The Details and contrast in the Land and Houses really show so well.
