Hi! I have stumbled upon this forum researching infrared filters. I am a semiprofessional photographer that specializes in abstract or uncontemporary photography. I am on both Facebook and Instagram under Bare Bones Pictures. I hope to add to discussions about filters, and step into UV photography!

Hi! Welcome! I saw your other post on the IRchrome, which you should certainly write up. If you want to try UV, you will probably not be able to keep the filter price under $20.

Hello and welcome to UVP! I'm happy you found us. And I apologize for all the broken links in the IR Filter reference material. I'm repairing them now, but it takes a while. (Many of them broke because websites have switched to https.)

UV Film..We don't have much about UV film!

UV Video..And we don't have much about UV video either.

 

UV Portrait. How do people look in UV?

 

Processing..Anything to do with image file conversions or edits.

White Balance

 

Multispectral..For uv/vis/ir stacks or for mixed displays.

Fluorescence..Use for any type of luminescence however induced.

 

Infrared..Between 700-1100 nm.

LWIR..Thermal infrared.

SWIR..Shortwave infrared.

 

Conical Cells..A botanical macro sub-speciality.

Insect Vision..Use also for non-insect animal vision. (I should rename this one.)
